Sound of Lexington is changing our format to focus more on the interesting and wonderful people of Kentucky!  We are getting ready to let people tell their own stories here on our site as well as our soon to begin (again) Barefoot KY Radio!  We still remain an online platform to showcase the vibrant live indie music scene here.

Our former broadcast of Barefoot KY TV put the spotlight on our very own stars and local Kentuckians as well as guests from other states and around the world!  You can still see our published videos here and on YouTube.  Our radio podcast Barefoot KY Radio can still be heard on  podbean.com  Look under “barefootkyradio”   We will begin our new radio format very soon!

We want to give a shout out to WLXU 93.9 LP FM  Lexington Community Radio  for airing our previous show, and possibly our new podcast will be aired there again.  In any case, please support our local radio and all of the great local shows and DJ’s by giving them a visit at www.lexingtoncommunityradio.org

Barefoot KY Radio will soon return!  Be on the lookout!
Thank you for sharing the love Kentucky!

Please see the Radio tab if you would like a profile on our site and send an email stating “New profile request.”  Only those who are verified will have a profile set up for them for a $15.00 fee that must be paid through PayPal.  No money will be collected on this site at this time.  Thank you for your patience and understanding while we make this site better for our awesome Kentucky people and indie artists!

Thank you for supporting your local artists and businesses wherever you live!
